Meanwhile Twitter staff are donating almost $1.6 million (£1.2 million) to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to fight President Donald Trump’s ban on travelers from seven majority-Muslim countries.

Twitter employees raised $530,000 (£421,000) for the rights organization and this amount was matched by executive chairman Omid Kordestani and CEO Jack Dorsey, bringing it to $1.59 million.

The donation was earlier reported on by TechCrunch and BuzzFeed, and a Twitter spokesperson confirmed the news to Business Insider.

On the other hand Google Employees raised $2 million funds matched exactly same from google with a Total of 4 million to support organizations like American Civil Liberties Union, Immigrant Legal Resource Center, International Rescue Committee and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to fight trumps immigration ban.
